I would just like to stress that these are RUMOURS.  They may or may not be true.

THIS RUMOUR SUBMITTED BY VIPER:

1. NOTE: This might be the most important step, but we are not sure if it is
really needed or not. It would be safer just to do it anyway. Make your name when
you start a new game, "Triforce." This could very well be the most important part,
but we are not sure if it is necessary. We recommend doing it anyway.

   2. Play through the game in its entirety without dying. This is definitely one of
the most important parts and is needed for this to work. While playing through, make
sure you collect all 100 Gold Skulltulas and all 36 Heart Pieces.

    3. Another very important step. Do not fight Ganondorf/Ganon until you have all
100 Skulltulas and every Heart Piece. To be more general, complete everything so it
is perfect BEFORE YOU EVEN FIGHT GANON! This includes Gerudo archery, catching a 20
pound fish, etc. From what we know, you do not need to catch the Hyrule Loach. We
got the Triforce without ever catching it.

    4. Finally, defeat Ganondorf/Ganon. You will notice the end sequence is EXACTLY
the same, yet do not get discouraged. When the screen freezes gold at the end wait
until after your scarecrow’s song is played. You will be given the opportunity to
SAVE! Make sure you do this! You can only do it the first time you fight Ganon, and
only if the game is perfect. After saving, you will return to the Start Screen.

    5. You will notice your name in the screen where you choose your name is now a
different color (GOLD). This is a good indication that you are on the right track.
If the name is NOT gold, then you are very unlucky. This means that you did not
perfect your game before you fought Ganon and must start over. I had to go through
that torture twice, so you DON’T want it to happen.

    6. Now, since your game is perfected, return to the Pedestal of Time. Now, as I
had been saying, if you take note of the Quest Status Screen and compare it with the
Pedestal of Time, then the Triforce of Courage is facing towards the window on the
wall. Because your game is now perfected, you will notice something else. The Fire
Medallion is shining RED. Why the Fire Medallion you ask? I don’t know. I didn't
make the game, but it’s importance is shone.

    7. Now, take the Ocarina of Time and Play the Bolero of Fire on the Fire
Medallion. When asked if you want to warp say NO, and before the Musical Score ends,
go to the Quest Status Screen and highlight the Bolero of Fire and press "A." In
doing this, unpause and you will notice the Spirit Medallion now lit up. Repeat the
sequence of steps for the fire Medallion and substitute Bolero of Fire for Requiem
of Spirit.

    8. Next the Light Medallion will light up. Go to that medallion and do the same
as the other two.

    9. NOW... nothing happens. What??? I first thought. I tried many things and I
found something that finally worked. What do you do in the game when you see a
Triforce symbol? Play Zelda’s Lullaby! And since the Triforce symbol in the Temple
of Time is one of the largest, I tried playing the song there. Can you guess what
happened???

WARNING. KEY PART OF STORYLINE REVEALED. DO NOT READ ON IF YOU DON’T
                             WANT TO KNOW!

    10. You are taken to the Chamber of Sages and are greeted by them in turn. They
feel you have proven you are worthy and now have the right to hold the Triforce.
Since Zelda is the 7th Sage, she is also there.

    11. The Sages break the Seal holding Ganondorf and Zelda uses her power to hold
him back. Link approaches and retrieves the Triforce of Power from Ganondorf. The
Sages reseal him and he is again sealed.

    12. Zelda then approaches and gives you her part of the Triforce. The scene cuts
away, and the new ending runs.

IF YOU WANT TO KNOW ABOUT THE ENDING... READ ON.

    13. The ending is actually very simple. A camera angle similar to the one you
see when you ride the owl comes up. You take an interesting little tour through
Hyrule and at the end the Goddesses fly over head. The text then says, "The End."
(catchy huh?)
