SWORDS:

Kokiri sword. This is the first sword Link will find and the only sword he can use as a kid.


       Master Sword. Adult Link's primary sword. One of the key elements Link uses to travel
       back and forth through time. Although it's the "Master Sword" it's not the best sword.


       Giant's knife. this is a 200 rupee waste of money. Slash something with it a few times, and it's
       a broken piece of crap. Can be bought from a big goron inside Goron City. You have to
       bomb through 4 walls to get to his room.


Biggoron sword. Like the Giant's knife, but unbreakable! Link has to perform a big
       sequence of trades to get this one, but it is well worth it! It is bigger and stronger than the
       master sword.

SHIELDS:


       Deku shield. Young Link's main shield. Will burn up if it is caught on fire! So be careful. Can
       be bought or sometimes found.


Hylian shield. Can be used by both kid and adult link. You can get one for free in the
       graveyard as young Link. Pull back the grave with flowers infront of it.
 

       Mirror shield. Can only be used by adult Link. You won't get this one until near the end of
       the game. It is found in the Spirit Temple. Useful for it's ability to reflect light.

TUNICS:


       Kokiri tunic. This is the one you start out with. Has no special use, this one is just to keep
       Link clothed.


Goron tunic. Can only be worn as an adult. This one is resistant to fire, allowing you to go in
       the Death Mountain Crater and other hot places without being harmed. Get this one by
       bombing the little rolling goron at Goron City as an adult.

Zora tunic. Can only be worn as an adult. This one prevents you from drowning under water.
       You get this one from King Zora as an adult when you defrost him and talk to him.

BOOTS:

       Kokiri boots. These are the ones you start with. These somehow manage to grow and shrink
       along with link through time.

       Iron boots. For adult link only. These let you walk on the ground under water. You'll find
       these in the Ice Cavern.

Hover boots. These let you walk on air for a second or two. these ones are found in the
       Shadow Temple.

C Button Items


Masks. Borrow them from the happy mask shop then sell them to cartain people. If you sell
       enough masks, you can use the Mask of Truth that lets you talk to the gossip stones.

Bottle. You can carry potions, fish, bugs, fire, fairys etc. in them. Normally you can get four
       bottles, but you can do a little trick so you can have up to 21!!!


 

       Deku stick. Useful for lighting on fire to light torches. Makes a crappy weapon. Can be
       bought or found by killing Deku Babas.

Deku Nut. Can be thrown at the ground to stun some enemies. Can be bought or found be
       killing certain enemies.


 

       Fairy Slingshot. The ammo is Deku Seeds, which can be found everywhere. You will find it
       on the second floor of the Deku Tree.


Fairy Ocarina. This instrument plays magical music. Saria gives this to you when you leave
       Kokiri Forest for the first time.


 

       Ocarina of Time. This is a treasure of the royal family. This, along with the three spiritual
       stones is needed to open the Door of Time in the Temple of Time. Zelda gives you this one
       after you get all three spiritual stones.


 

       Bombs! Blow stuff up! Open secret passageways, move rocks out of your way, good way
       to kill some enemies, and lots of other useful stuff. You'll find the first bomb bag inside
       Dodongo's Cavern.


 

       Boomarang. Kills some enemies, stuns others, gets gold skulltula tokens that you can't reach,
       etc. Found inside Jabu Jabu


 

       Magic beans. There are 10 spots to plant these beans as a kid and when you return to them
       as an adult, it will be a plant that you can ride on to get stuff.

       Bombchu. These travel across the ground, up walls and ceilings until they hit an object or
       some time passes. Found: in a shop in back alley of market at night, from a guy in the
       haunted wasteland, by killing 40 gold skulltulas, won in bombchu bowling alley.


 

       Lens of Truth. See what is real and what is fake in some dungeons. Uses MP. Found in the
       bottom of the well level.

Hookshot. Can grab onto things and drags you to it. Can also be used as a weapon. When
       you're underwater, it's your only available weapon. Found in the graveyard, pull the
       gravestone on the left with flowers in front of it as an adult.

Fairy Bow. Shoots arrows. Kill enemies and activate certain switches. Found in the upper
       stalfos room of the Forest Temple.

Megaton Hammer. It's mainly useful in the same temple you get it, the Fire Temple. Can be
       used as a weapon, and comes in very handy as a weapon against Dark Link.

       Fire Arrows. Can be used to light torches and burn other things. After you beat the water
       temple, stand on the platform above the temple and follow the directions on the plaque
       (shoot the sun in the morning).

Ice Arrows. Can freeze enemies or something. You get this one after you complete the
       Gerudo Training Ground. They're not needed to beat the game.

       Light Arrows. Powerful arrows. Needed to kill Ganondorf. You can't get these until you
       beat all five temples.

        Din's Fire. Makes a big ball of fire that enflames everything on screen except you.

       Farore's Wind. Within a dungeon, it will set a warp point. When you use it again, you will
       warp to the point, or you can set a new point. It is absolutely useless outside of a dungeon.

       Nayru's Love. Puts a protective barrier around you for a minute or so. When you use it,
       you'll still get knocked on your butt and smacked around like normally, you won't lose life
       though.

OTHER ITEMS OF IMPORTANCE:


       Small key. This is pretty self-explanatory. Find them in dungeons, and use them to unlock
       doors.


 

       Boss Key. Use this one to get into the boss's room of the dungeon. Boss keys are only
       needed and found inside the five temples.


Dungeon Map. With this, you can see every room in the dungeon, even the ones you haven't
       been to yet.


Compass. When you find the compass in a dungeon, you can see various things like where
       all the chests are.


Stone of agony. Kill 20 skulltulas, and one of the kids in the house of skulltula will give it to
       you. It will make your rumble pak shake when you are near a secret hole in the ground.

       Deku see bag. When you get the slingshot, you get one automatically. There are two
       upgrades you can get to get a bigger one.


Goron Bracelet. After you meet Darunia in Goron City and play him Saria's song, he'll give
       this to you. When you have this, you can pick up bomb flowers.

       Bomb Bag. Used to hold your bombs. The first one can be found inside Dodongo's Cavern.
       There are two upgrades you can find to get a bigger one.


Silver Scale. Lets you dive deeper. To get it, go to Zora's domain, Go up to King Zora, take
       a left, and play the diving game. There's also a gold scale. To get that one, go to the fishing
       pond as an adult, and break the record twice.


Quiver of Arrows. When you get the bow, you will have a 30 arrow quiver. There are two
       upgrades you can find for it.
